The first season of Next Gen NYC ended with some major twists and turns. And several of those were related to Georgia McCann and her boyfriend, Omar. Not much was shared about Omar on the show except that he was a crypto investor. However, in the season finale, Emira D’Spain claimed that Omar was an “alleged scammer” and probably wouldn’t be able to invest in Georgia’s club. On top of that, Omar was not a great boyfriend. Georgia alleged Omar broke up with her and then dumped her stuff off at Charlie Zakkour’s while she was out of town. So, just who is this guy besides a bunch of red flags?
What do we know about Georgia McCann’s ex-boyfriend Omar, the crypto guy from Next Gen NYC?
Omar was Georgia McCann’s boyfriend and business partner on Next Gen NYC. He also ran a crypto startup and wanted to venture into owning a restaurant or a club. Omar also found investors for Georgia’s club, but the deal fell through once Georgia and Omar broke up.
Georgia had thought Omar was her dream man. He checked all the boxes; he was a business dude in a suit. But soon red flags soon started popping up. In Next Gen NYC Episode 5, Omar told Georgia just after two months of dating that he loved her. Georgia noted, “It screamed bullsh*t.” Still, she stayed by his side.
However, in Episode 8, Emira then spilled the tea that Omar might be an “alleged scammer.” She told the group about Georgia, “I don’t think Omar, who you’ve been dating for three months, is going to invest a million dollars in with you honey.”
Emira dished, “He’s also an alleged scammer. So, I don’t know how far this is going to go.” She said in her confessional, “I won’t say anything else about Georgia’s boyfriend. I will just say Google him. And then, see if he’s gonna give her that million dollars to invest in her bar.”
Omar then met up with Charlie for dinner and told him he could “start a very contrarian VC group, and you don’t really need so much experience.” Soon he had Charlie seeking investor money for his business. But all that disappeared once Omar broke up with Georgia, dumping her stuff off with Charlie. Will we ever see the mysterious Omar again? Only time will tell.
