Andy Cohen has moved into a brand new apartment. And after sorting all of his things from his previous West Village home, he decided to declutter for a cause. He invited friends and fans to a public sale of his personal items. The sale helped raise funds for Housing Works in New York.
ICYMI, Andy sold his duplex back in May with the help of Bravo superstar agent Ryan Serhant of Million Dollar Listing New York. And a move usually means going through all your things. It’s a great time to decide what to bring and what doesn’t need to go with you. For Andy, he decided that what he wasn’t going to bring, he was going to sell for charity.

The host put together a collection of his fashion, furniture, accessories, and other treasures from his work and from his personal home. It was a good way to help rehome the items he no longer needs and give to a good cause too.
The sale took place at Housing Works Thrift Shop in Chelsea. Everyone was welcome to pursue the items and have a cocktail too!
“This is literally all my stuff,” Andy told Fox 5 New York. “I just moved and I got rid of more than 50% of my clothes and furniture and so much other stuff.”
And people were more than happy to go shopping and donate to charity at the same time. Everything from the sale supports Housing Works. The healing community strives to provide safe and stable housing to homeless New Yorkers who are living with HIV, AIDS, and other chronic health illnesses.
The sale was a huge success! People came from as far as California to peruse Andy’s collection and grab some of his personal items. Customers’ hauls included Andy’s clothes, old vinyls, coffee table books on art and fashion, and accessories. There was something for everyone.
“It was fun. It was very fun!” one happy shopper said with an arm full of items. “It’s very Pee-Wee Herman meets Bravo. I love it.”
It’s nice to see Andy able to squeeze in the time to declutter for a worthwhile cause. In between selling his former apartment to actor screenwriter Danny Strong and supporting his friend Stephen Colbert on The Late Show, he’s certainly been keeping busy!
