Season 7 of Love Island USA featured Cierra Ortega being removed from the villa. She was taken out of the game because of her prior use of racial slurs. At the time, Cierra and Nic Vansteenberghe were the only couple who had closed their relationship.
Cierra’s shocking exit allowed Nic and Olandria Carthen to have a second shot at romance. I guess the second time was the charm, because this duo finally caught on to their chemistry. They ended up placing second in the finale and were fan favorites.
When Cierra discovered what had happened between Nic and Olandria, she had some thoughts.
Nic and Olandria’s Love Island connection has Cierra feeling some type of way
Cierra previously made some shady comments about “Nicolandria” on her TikTok. “Thanks, I booked a flight to Mykonos after surviving the villain edit on reality [tv] and I didn’t end up with the guy who never actually liked me and wanted my friend the entire time,” she captioned a video of herself in Mykonos.
So, Cierra took to TikTok again, this time to answer fan questions and address her feelings about Olandria and Nic’s romance. “As I watched as a viewer, from someone on the outside, and I saw their connection forming, I was like, ‘Damn, okay. It f*cking hurts,'” Cierra admitted. “Yeah, I’m f*cking hurt. But I’m also an adult.”
She continued, “As days went on and I didn’t hear from either of them, the more hurt I became. But as the days went on, and it just kind of felt like I never existed, and like the friendship Olandria and I shared had never existed,” Cierra stated. “And the relationship that Nic and I shared had never existed. That sh*t hurts.”
While Cierra is “happy for them,” she was also stunned to find out that so many people were rooting for Nic and Olandria from the beginning. “Being shut down with no closure – it’s closure that I’ve had to provide for myself – it’s a lot,” Cierra said.
