During the latest episode of The McBee Dynasty: Real American Cowboys, Steven McBee Jr. and Calah Jackson’s relationship drama took a hard left turn. Steven brought Calah on a family trip to the Ozarks, chaos ensued, and it seemed like the two had called it quits — once again.
After having met on the 2022 show Joe Millionaire: For Richer or Poorer, the two have broken up “15 or 16 times,” according to Steven. After their fight on The McBee Dynasty, Calah claimed she had enough tea to “bury” his whole family. So, was this fight the final straw, or are they just adding another breakup to the list?
Are Steven McBee Jr. and Calah Jackson back together?
No, Steven McBee Jr. and Calah Jackson are no longer together, but Steven did contact Calah in June 2025 when McBee Dynasty Season 2 premiered.
In an interview with Us Weekly, Steven confirmed that the fight we saw between the two in the Ozarks was very real, and the subsequent breakup stuck.
“The way that you see the rest of Season 2 shaping out are the real conversations Calah and I have at the end,” Steven explained. “You’ll see how that all plays out, and we’ve really been broken up since then.”
Although Calah said that she had enough tea to take down the McBee Dynasty, Steven said that he and Calah have “a tremendous amount of respect for each other” in the aftermath of their breakup. He reached out to her in June after watching the first episodes of Season 2. He wanted to apologize for his family’s lack of support when her sister passed away unexpectedly last May.
“There was a moment where we watched the first couple episodes a couple months ago, just seeing ’em for the first time, and whenever I left, I called Calah,” Steven recalled.
“I said, ‘Hey, I just want you to know my family and I, we handled that wrong. There were so many ways we could have handled that better, and I do want to apologize for that,’” he continued.
Steven said that his family also apologized to Calah for their actions. Other than that, it sounds like they’ve gone their separate ways for good.
