Kelly Osbourne’s Final Promise to Ozzy Before His Death

Reportedly, Kelly Osbourne made a final promise to her dad, Ozzy Osbourne. Though she’s been doing her best, it’s a difficult one to keep.

“The last few days have been a tough ride,” an insider said. “But Kelly has been focused on executing plans with her mom … Of course, there have been tears, but she promised her dad … that she would not crumble in public.”

The iconic rocker passed away on July 22 at the age of 76.

Kelly promised not to “crumble in public” before Ozzy Osbourne’s death

Ozzy “always pushed” his family to “celebrate what people have done in life,” the source told the Daily Mail. Apparently, the Prince of Darkness urged his family not to mourn, “but rather celebrate his life.”

While Kelly and her siblings try to remain strong, their main concern is “the impact” Ozzy’s death is having on their mom. Sharon Osbourne and Ozzy were married for 43 years and had three children together.

“She and Ozzy were such a unique couple,” the source added. “Them being apart … is heartbreaking.” Even though I never watched a full episode of The Osbournes, I heard the clips of Ozzy wandering around their home screeching, “Sha-ronnn!” Their bond was obvious.

During the funeral procession through his hometown of Birmingham, England, Sharon looked visibly distraught. As the hearse carrying Ozzy’s body made its stop at the Black Sabbath Bench, the family exited the vehicle. Sharon, accompanied by Aimee, Kelly and Jack Osbourne, sobbed as she placed a flower among the massive pile of tributes.

Following a 2003 quad bike accident that nearly killed him, Ozzy had limited mobility and used a cane. He was also diagnosed with Parkinson’s disease that same year, but didn’t reveal it to his fans until 2020. Though they knew his condition was fragile, news of the rocker’s death hit fans hard.

“It is with more sadness than mere words can convey that we have to report that our beloved Ozzy Osbourne has passed away this morning,” read a statement. “He was with his family and surrounded by love. We ask everyone to respect our family privacy at this time.”

For her part, Kelly told her Instagram followers, “I am so sad. I lost the best friend I ever had.”
