Kelly Osbourne Gives Emotional Update Months After Ozzy’s Death

The 68th annual Grammy Awards took place last night in Los Angeles, and while there was plenty to celebrate, not everyone had the easiest time. While on the red carpet at the award show, Kelly Osbourne shared an emotional update on how she’s doing, six months after the death of her father, Ozzy Osbourne.

“People usually say, ‘I’m great.’ [But] I’m not doing so great,” Kelly said during the official Grammys red carpet live stream, according to E! News.

“It’s the hardest thing I’ve ever been through in my life,” she went on, before adding that she is “getting through” it.

“We’re doing everything we can to try and just live in his legacy and be happy,” Kelly continued. And there certainly was a spotlight on Ozzy’s legacy during the Grammys. The music legend was honored with a performance by Post Malone, alongside Slash, Duff McKagan, and Chad Smith.

“It means more than I can express in words,” Kelly said of the commemoration to her dad. “To see his peers and this community cherish him in such a way, and in a way that he deserves. It’ll be very emotional.”

Kelly’s comments at the Grammy Awards come after weeks of speculation about her health following her father’s death. He passed away at the age of 76 on July 22, 2025. The heavy metal musician, who had Parkinson’s disease, died of cardiac arrest.

“I am ill right now,” Kelly said in an Instagram Story in December last year. “My life is completely flipped upside down.”

She went on: “I don’t understand why people expect me to bounce back and look like everything is just fine in my life when it’s not.”

“The fact that I’m getting out of bed and facing my life … should be more than enough,” she added. “I should be commended for that.”
