Plot twist! Weeks after reports surfaced that Prince Harry and Meghan Markle’s $100 million Netflix deal would come to an end, the streaming giant has announced a new partnership with the couple. The new deal is slightly different from the first, but they’ve still got a ton of content in the pipeline. The constant criticism isn’t setting them back one bit.
Prince Harry and Meghan Markle’s extended Netflix deal includes a holiday special

Harry and Meghan announced that their production company, Archewell Productions, has entered a multi-year, first-look deal with Netflix for both TV and film, per a report from People.
“We’re proud to extend our partnership with Netflix and expand our work together to include the As ever brand,” Meghan said in a statement. “My husband and I feel inspired by our partners who work closely with us and our Archewell Productions team to create thoughtful content across genres that resonates globally, and celebrates our shared vision.”
Although previous reports indicated their original $100 million Netflix deal would end in September 2025, that is not the case. They’re just engaging in a slightly different agreement. Insiders say this reflects a new strategic shift for Netflix, and not an indication of the couple’s staying power. But “insiders” are often just gossips with an axe to grind.
The original setup guaranteed multiple Netflix projects for the Duke and Duchess of Sussex. This new first-look deal puts Netflix first in line for any projects Archewell Productions wants to pitch. However, it doesn’t guarantee a specific number of releases. If Netflix passes on a project, they’ll be free to explore other platforms.
For now, Netflix confirmed in a press release that With Love, Meghan will premiere Season 2 later this month. She’ll also roll out a holiday special in December.
“This December, join Meghan in Montecito for a magical holiday celebration. Together, friends and family deck the halls, create holiday feasts, craft heartfelt gifts, and share lots of laughs – with simple how-tos to follow at home. It’s a holiday wonder with warmth, tradition, and a generous dose of joy,” a release teased.
Other projects in the works include Masaka Kids: A Rhythm Within, a documentary about a small orphanage in Uganda. Plus, they’re working on an adaptation of the novel Meet Me at the Lake.
In short, the Sussexes will have a presence on Netflix for the foreseeable future. They aren’t going anywhere.
