Prince Harry and Meghan Markle have taken a ‘bad hit’ with their Netflix deal, says expert
Prince Harry and Meghan Markle recently revealed the news of their partnership renewal with Netflix in a multi-year deal. “We’re proud to extend our partnership with Netflix and expand our work together to include the As ever brand,” the Duchess of Sussex said in a statement to Fox News Digital. She added, “My husband and I feel inspired by our partners who work closely with us and our Archewell Productions team to create thoughtful content across genres that resonates globally, and celebrates our shared vision.”
Meanwhile, royal expert Richard Fitzwilliams shared their point of view on Harry and Markle’s new deal with Netflix and said it is “a clear sign that the Sussexes are not A-listers.” Moreover, the expert believed that “despite the appeal of their brand,” the royal couple had “taken a bad hit.”
“There clearly is no repeat of the reported $100 million Netflix offered before. This first-look deal is certain to be less, probably a good deal less,” Fitzwilliams told the news outlet, adding, “It is true that Netflix continues to link with As Ever, Meghan’s lifestyle brand.” The expert further shared that it “may be the most commercially successful part of this new arrangement.” Fitzwilliams also said, “If you don’t do much you don’t deserve much, and we’ve been reading about how they will adapt ‘Meet Me At The Lake’ for ages.”
