Dr. Terry Dubrow and Dr. Paul Nassif are the dream team duo that made Botched a hit. Spinoff show Botched By Nature received less of an enthusiastic reception, sticking around for only one season. But the E! network kept trying to capitalize on the reality TV magic.
Thus, Botched Presents: Plastic Surgery Rewind was conceived. The only problem was that Paul was not part of the project. This time, Terry was partnered with Dr. Spirit to explore more the therapy side of plastic surgery recovery. Needless to say, but the Real Housewives of Beverly Hills alum was not happy with the situation.
A new Botched spinoff saw some tension between Dr. Terry Dubrow and Dr. Paul Nassif
Terry spoke about Paul’s reaction to Dr. Spirit during a recent interview with Decider. He admitted that his colleague “wasn’t really talking to me.”
“But we’re in talks now to do sort of a new version of Botched, and I think he’s getting over it. But I love him. This was just something that I was involved with. But he’s a wonderful plastic surgeon, and he’s talking to me again, so I’m happy about that,” the Real Housewives of Orange County star explained.
He continued, “This show is not really plastic surgery heavy. This is more therapy heavy … He’s a very gifted plastic surgeon. This is more of an explanation type show, although the surgery was very difficult, but I think very successful. But yeah. No, it’s all good.”
But a “potential new version of Botched” is possible. “Maybe,” he replied of Botched returning.
“Of all the things I’ve done in my career, whether it’s my medical legal career, whether it’s being on a reality show with my wife, Botched has been the most significant, important and the biggest message I’ve put out there about cautionary plastic surgery. It was the No. 1 show on E! last time I looked, and it was the No. 1 show for a while on Netflix when they showed the first two seasons. So, I think Botched is still alive, and I’m excited potentially to do maybe even a new version of Botched.”
Always one to help those in need, Terry briefly took on Brandi’s Glanville’s complex medical needs earlier this year. He suggested the RHOBH alum may need facial surgery.
