Meghan Markle has revealed the one simple thing she hopes people will remember about her. Speaking in an interview to promote her Netflix series, the Duchess of Sussex offered a candid glimpse into her mindset. She also shared how she navigates the relentless scrutiny of the media.
Meghan Markle wants haters to know she’s “a real person”

It’s no secret that Meghan Markle has faced more than her share of scrutiny from the media. A lot of which seems unnecessarily hateful. In an interview that coincided with the release of season 2 of With Love, Meghan, she revealed how the media circus impacts her.
Speaking to The Circuit, she said she wanted people to remember one thing. “I just want people to know that I’m a real person. And I think a lot of that gets lost in what can be super dehumanizing,” she revealed.
Meghan also noted how the criticism could affect her children, Prince Archie, 6, and Princess Lilibet, 4. She said, “But my kids will see those magazines and we all know moms gossip. And so I have to make a choice to move through the world as myself in spite of all the noise that’s created. But maybe there would be less noise if people remembered that I’m a real person.”
The Duchess and husband Prince Harry have chosen to raise their kids out of the public eye. In 2020, the family moved to Montecito, California. She has previously spoken of how “protective” the locals are of her family. Noting how she and Harry have a sense of normalcy there, she said, “We go to a lot of dinners, and not just in people’s homes or private rooms; we just go into the restaurant. I really love that we can just have fun.”
