A family member confirmed the news of Kelsey’s death with TMZ but did not share a cause of death. The source only confirmed that she died recently and unexpectedly. Other than that, details on her passing are scarce.
You’ll remember Kelsey from Season 3 of Rock of Love. That was the season that took place on a tour bus, and Bret took the ladies on a road trip across America to see if they had what it takes to handle life on the road. Kelsey made it to Episode 7 before a drunken, emotional outburst raised concerns with Bret.
“I ended up lying on a speed bump, bawling my eyes out, but you know what? I’m here and I’m ready for whatever Brett has to say to me,” she admitted. “But I mean, hey, I can’t be the only girl that’s got drunk and layed on a speed bump. Let’s be honest.”
Sure enough, Bret brought her in front of the group at the next elimination. He sent her packing and blamed the speed bump incident. It felt like peak 2000s reality TV drama, and we thank Kelsey for her service.
“Sometimes I get drunk and lay on speed bumps, it’s just, you know,” Kelsey said in her exit interview. “Apparently, Brett just can’t handle a girl that likes to get drunk and lay on speed bumps. I mean, maybe he’s not used to it.”
After her elimination, Kelsey went home to Salt Lake City, Utah, to live a normal life outside of the reality TV world. She said she was going to take a break from pursuing men. She also vowed that she’d never date another rockstar.
