Aubrey Plaza Stole From Joe Biden’s Desk While Filming at White House

Bad news for White House staffers – security is apparently not as tight as you’d think. Aubrey Plaza has revealed she stole an item right from Joe Biden‘s desk. The actress couldn’t resist swiping the memento while visiting the then vice president.

Aubrey Plaza was reprimanded by a Parks and Rec boss after the theft of Joe Biden’s note

Aubrey sat down with former Parks and Recreation costar Amy Poehler for a chat on the latter’s Good Hang podcast. The pals reminisced about their time working on the show together, including one intriguing incident at the White House.

The Parks team were on a visit to 1600 Pennsylvania Avenue following Biden’s cameo on the show. While touring the West Wing, Aubrey noticed something that caught her attention on his desk.

She explained: “I saw a little, like, vice president-monogrammed notebook piece of paper that said, like, ‘Aubrey Plaza’ and then, like, three facts about me.”

She decided the note would make a nice little memento, sneakily swiping it to take home. Parks showrunner Michael Schur was thoroughly unimpressed with the star when he found out. He told the actress “you cannot steal” from the vice president’s desk.

The Legion star played down the faux pas: “I was like, ‘Oh, shut up, Mike,'” she said. “And he was like, ‘We’re literally in the White House.’ And I was like, ‘We are?'”

The actress didn’t end up facing any consequences for her rather brazen act. As Amy pointed out “no one ever knew”. The friends also joked about the apparent lack of security in the White House, with Amy describing it as “janky as f*ck”.

Aubrey also opened up about her husband’s recent suicide on the show, describing her grief as a “giant ocean of awfulness”.
