Dakota Johnson shares adopted rescue dog’s personality
Dakota Johnson has been an animal lover since her childhood days, thanks to her mom and her grandmother. She previously had a dog named Zeppelin. Sadly, the pooch died in December at the age of 17, leaving the actor heartbroken. But now Johnson has a new furry addition to her family, Tokyo, and she made sure Tokyo was introduced to the world in style.
The 35-year-old actor recently took the opportunity to introduce her adorable new puppy, Tokyo, on the June 10 episode of Amy Poehler’s “Good Hang” podcast. Johnson shared with Poehler that she rescued Tokyo “on Saturday from the Santa Barbara pound.” Although she “didn’t plan on” adopting the pooch, she ended up falling for her, adding, “But then I saw her, and she’s like an angel!”
Commenting on Tokyo’s playfulness during the interview, Johnson revealed more about the rescue dog’s personality, saying she is “a performer.” When her fur baby started sniffing her microphone, the star jokingly said, “Honestly, she has come alive on camera. She normally hides in the back of her crate. She’s really timid. And now she’s like, ‘Here I am,'” further telling Tokyo, “You’re an actress just like your mom.”
As far as her love life is concerned, Dakota Johnson and Chris Martin have reportedly called it quits after nearly eight years together. However, the actor has yet to address the breakup publicly. Nevertheless, she seems happy in the company of her new furry pal, Tokyo,
