Bachelor in Paradise Season 10 Finale Plagued by Cheating Rumors

As much as I was looking forward to the return of Bachelor in Paradise, now I’m wondering why ABC had to ruin my summertime guilty pleasure. Rather than being about a second chance at love, Season 10 became just another game show where the contestants compete for money.

The finale brought back previously eliminated competitors who determined who could compete for the $500,000 payday. Following the elimination of Kat Izzo and Dale Moss, the returnees voted for Spencer Conley and Jess Edwards to stay. Safe from winning the last challenge, Alexe Godin and Andrew Spencer were also set to compete in the “final test”.

The two top couples confronted the final challenge when host Jesse Palmer presented them with a big decision. Rather than letting the winning couple share the prize money, they had to make a choice. They could either choose to keep half the money all for themselves or they could give it up for love. Didn’t we already do this way back in Bachelor Pad? I hated it then, and I still hate it today.

Was somebody cheating at the Bachelor in Paradise finale?

Even though they made it to the final three as a couple, Kat and Dale were tripped up by one of the returning couples. Sean McLaughlin and Allyshia Gupta brought information that could blow up their relationship.

Apparently, Sean had a mutual acquaintance with Kat’s ex and got in touch with him. “He told me some things that were really enlightening,” Sean said.

“Kat’s plan was never to find love,” he continued. “She actually stashed a laptop and started texting him love letters … So as a group, I feel like you guys deserve that information, and I have the receipts.”

While Kat tearfully denied the accusations, Dale defended her, saying Sean was trying to destroy “a great woman” out of jealousy. But even though Kat and Dale talked it through and he was convinced Kat hadn’t cheated on him, they were still eliminated the following day.

“This whole experience has been anything but easy, but it has been everything I could ever hope for and more,” Kat told Dale. “What I was expecting coming in here was not to find someone that makes me laugh, makes me cry, makes me feel protected and loved.”

“You’ve got to step outside the box and take some chances, and this one definitely paid off,” Dale added.

Though they didn’t win the money, they had a fabulous Costa Rican vacation and actually did find love. Since the show ended, Kat and Dale are still together. According to the onscreen update, they “have been exploring the U.S.” as a couple. They’re also having conversations about moving geographically closer to each other and “building a future together.”

Bachelor in Paradise Season 10 is now streaming on Hulu.
