Derek Hough, the legendary Dancing with the Stars professional turned judge, is known for breaking records as a dancer. Derek won DWTS six times, the all-time leading record for a professional. He’s not the only member of the Hough family to work on the show, but he has the most to show for his time there.
His moves are best displayed on the dancefloor or stage, but he recently put on a different kind of dancing shoe. He took to the dirt instead of the DWTS stage for his latest project, which combined dancing with baseball.

Baseball meets performance, dance, and comedy with the team Savannah Bananas. They may not be part of the National Baseball League, but they are a beloved exhibition team that draws impressive crowds as they travel to stadiums around the United States, and Derek recently joined them for a dance number, and you don’t want to miss it!
The Bananas often have celebrity guests, but Derek brought a unique flair to his time with the team: a legendary dance performance! Partnered with Hailey Bills of Dancing with the Stars Juniors, the pair brought a high energy that was met by the members of the Savannah Bananas, who can be seen doing stunts around them.
It was a lot of fun, and many fans said Derek was their favorite guest of the season. Of course, there are plenty of famous faces we’ve seen appear in the past, and it doesn’t take someone with millions of followers to make these performances must-watch.
The Savannah Bananas enjoy Banana Ball games, which include fan participation, and a higher pace than regular baseball. All while celebrating the foster care community. You cannot fault them for their incredible work.
