Craig Conover is, sometimes, an unreliable narrator on Southern Charm. Whenever his words on camera have failed to match the general recollections of his co-stars, negative headlines have arisen, all calling Craig out. These heated responses may be why Craig is now trying his hand at something new. You see, instead of working in front of the lenses, Craig is now stepping behind the cameras. And he is doing so with a whole new company, much to the surprise of at least one of his fellow Charmers.
Craig Conover has launched a reality TV production company
According to Deadline, Craig has just partnered with Media Trifecta. Sharone Ostrovsky founded the organization, bringing her extensive experience in writing, directing, and producing to the table. She has worked on many television series, including Cash Cab and Ghost Hunters of the Grand River
Additionally, Media Trifecta’s Chief Creative Officer, Kevin Healey, and their development consultant, Matt Hanna, have also worked on many well-known series, which teases that Craig might have stepped into yet another very well-oiled new role.
On Instagram, Craig shared an article announcing his new spinoff production company, Plaid Horse Productions, which will focus on reality television series. In his caption, he penned, “You didn’t come this far to play small.”
As for his official statement, Deadline noted Craig as saying, “After spending over a decade in front of the camera, it feels awesome to be stepping behind the scenes and getting involved from day one—helping shape the vision, build out the programming, and connect with the right people. Being part of something from the ground up like this is really exciting, and honestly, I couldn’t ask for a better team to bring Plaid Horse Productions to life.”
Then, making me chuckle, a familiar name appeared in his comments online. It was Shep Rose. As Shep joked, “Why am I learning this on the Gram? Answer – because I would have probably screwed up the deal somehow if I knew beforehand.”
Keeping with this banter, Craig responded, “Hahaahaha, I got a good belly laugh out of this one, thanks, old friend. I appreciate you.”
