Taylor Frankie Paul was given the role of handing out roses in Season 22 of The Bachelorette. Casting the Secret Lives of Mormon Wives star will certainly send the show in a different direction. This is the first time that a reality TV personality has been picked to helm the dating franchise. And it sounds like Taylor’s ex-boyfriend, and baby daddy, Dakota Mortensen, has some thoughts on the matter.
Taylor, who created the influencer group MomTok, shares two children with her ex-husband, Tate Paul. And she shares her youngest child, son Ever True, with Dakota. So, what will Taylor bring as the new Bachelorette?

Recently, Taylor was a guest on the Call Her Daddy podcast, where she dished on her relationship with Dakota. “It’s over, and we’ll see that play out,” Taylor stated in a clip posted via TikTok. When she was asked for the last time that she “hooked up” with her ex, Taylor had a surprising response. She admitted, “I can’t remember off the top of my head, to be honest.”
Then Taylor stated that she and Dakota likely hooked up in April at Stagecoach, and “maybe one after.” The SLOMW star added, “It’s been very confusing if I’m being honest.” Well, Dakota hopped into the comments on the TikTok clip. “1 or 2 times …. Got it lol,” Dakota wrote.
Of course, Dakota may feel some kind of way about Taylor’s new venture because she didn’t tell him. He shared his feelings via an Instagram post, writing, “Had so many curveballs today and every time I am always reminded there is nothing more important than God and family.”
Meanwhile, the icing on top of this messy cake is that Dakota brought Taylor to court in June regarding custody and child support issues. The case is still playing out.
