Below Deck Season 12 Cast: Which Crew Members Should Return?

Below Deck Season 12 just wrapped on Bravo. While variety tends to lend way to solid storylines, certain cast members strayed a bit too far from the typical mark that many viewers have come to know and love. And sometimes, that aspect made Below Deck Season 12 a tough one to consume.

However, from this cast’s roster, six imperfect yachties rose to create either funny or determined scenes. And for that, each of these Below Deck Season 12 crew members deserves another showing on Bravo.

Which Below Deck Season 12 crew members should return?

While all six of these crew members bore a few aspects that we could spend time criticizing, it is essential to remember that all of these employees were doing two jobs at once. First, they had their actual job on board this yacht. Second, they needed to create highly watchable moments for their viewers at home.

That balance has to be difficult. But these six yachties mostly nailed their dual assignments. And for that, they are our top picks of who we hope to see gracing our screens once more on Below Deck.

Anthony Iracane

Anthony Iracane came in eager to please midway through this season. His first showing in Season 11 resulted in his firing. However, when Anthony returned to filming, he presented like a brand new man, with only one known crew lunch-related mishap happening on his watch.

Gone were the days of poorly timed dishes, forgotten guest preferences, and bland platings. Instead, Anthony nailed everything that he touched. Additionally, none of his plates got sent back to the galley. He received high praise this season from his guests and Captain alike, which he deserved.

As a viewer, watching Anthony overcome his struggles this season made for uplifting moments. As he stressed on air, he wants to come back and work alongside his pal, Fraser Olender. Hopefully his wish comes true.

Rainbeau de Roos

Rainbeau de Roos had her work cut out for her this season. Working directly underneath Fraser, Rainbeau had two stews that were supposed to be at her side. However, one of these stews hated working, which created many tense moments for Rainbeau during her shifts. This narrative also created a heightened workload for Rainbeau, which stressed her out to the max.

Nevertheless, Rainbeau worked harder than most this season. And for that, we would love to see Rainbeau back on this series. But this time, she should work alongside two capable and hardworking stews, instead of just the one.

Bárbara Kulaif

Bárbara Kulaif was the one stew willing to work well alongside Rainbeau and Fraser. Overall, Bárbara did her job well. However, Season 12 quickly turned taxing for this experienced stew. Her heart got involved in a messy love triangle, which often made Bárbara’s scenes frustrating to watch.

Bárbara deserved better. Therefore, since she worked so well with Rainbeau and Fraser, it would be nice to see her back for another season. I am curious about how this qualified and kindhearted stew might present when surrounded by gentler circumstances.

Damo Yorg

Damo Yorg made me laugh more than once as Season 12 progressed. He is hysterical and extremely hardworking. But, like Bárbara, he too let his heart lead the way a time or two this season. A handful of these times, his hookups caused friction with one of his colleagues who was equally on the pursuit for a good time.

Regardless, Damo was fun. Likewise, this man knew his job like the back of his hand. So, it would be great to see Damo back on Below Deck, even if it’s via a replacement deckhand role in another season.

Hugo Ortega

Hugo Ortega arrived midway through this season as a replacement Bosun. With his arrival, the deck team finally had something they could trust. As Season 12 progressed, we saw Hugo rising to be one of the strongest Bosuns this franchise has ever seen.

However, Hugo did have one poor moment on air. His frustrations got the best of him, causing him to snap at Rainbeau. As he later explained, there was a lot that we didn’t see. But also, everyone should be allowed at least one throwaway moment during filming.

Since this was his only ugh-like scene, I would love to see Hugo back on Below Deck.

Fraser Olender

Last but never least, we need Fraser to remain on our screens as the returning Chief Stew on Below Deck. Yes, Fraser had a few leadership-related mishaps this season. But no one narrates, sasses, or polishes like this man. Additionally, Fraser has become the face of this series, making this staple, stylish cast member one that many fans look forward to seeing whenever each new season debuts.

Unless he wins the lottery and returns as a guest every season, I need Fraser back on Below Deck. But hopefully, his return will arrive with a team of stewards who all want to do their jobs.

Below Deck is streaming on Peacock and Hayu in the UK and Ireland.
