Earlier this week, Hilaria Baldwin danced her way through the premiere episode of Dancing with the Stars Season 34. However, her three youngest children were not in attendance for this special night. Yet, her four oldest children were. So, why did Hilaria choose only to take four kids instead of all seven? Well, here’s what she just said about her debut headcount decision.
Three of Hilaria Baldwin’s kids were absent from the Dancing with the Stars Season 34 premiere

Currently, Hilaria is sitting in the top three spot on DWTS Season 34. She is killing it, which comes as no surprise with her extensive background in dance. Cheering her on during Week 1 was her husband, Alec Baldwin. But, at his side, only four of his seven children with Hilaria were present.
Viewers know this to be true because after the show, Hilaria shared a post on Instagram that only showcased half of her family. In her shared images, four children, plus Alec, are seen sitting right next to the stage, waiting for their mother to appear for her premiere night number.
But, no worries, as this choice was intentional, Hilaria recently explained to PEOPLE. “I had four, my oldest four,” she explained, noting that Carmen, Rafael, Leonardo, and Romeo were all in attendance. But as for her younger three, Hilaria understands how long these events can run. So, she made a decision that acted in the best interests of her family and the show itself.
“I feel like maybe my youngest three would be running around the dance floor. And it could be a little bit [distracting], especially the baby. She’s so naughty,” Hilaria stressed. So, she left her babies off her invite list for this big night.
Knowing that young children are as unpredictable as the weather, fans can understand her reasoning. Good luck during Week 2, Hilaria…
Dancing with the Stars airs on Tuesdays at 8 p.m. on ABC and Disney+. It streams on Hulu the next day.
