The Voice Season 28 premieres tonight, September 22. When this series returns, it will do so with its four returning coaches, plus its ever-loyal host, in tow. Speaking of this emcee, this star will finally have a larger say in how this competition operates. And this new plot twist might save an unknown number of contestants from elimination as the season progresses.
So, who are the coaches for The Voice Season 28? Additionally, who is stepping back into the host role, and what spin might this host now be able to insert into this musical competition series? Also, when and where can The Voice Season 28 be watched, both in real-time and on any streamers? Here is everything you need to know regarding these questions.
The Voice Season 28 judges/coaches revealed
Following a brief hiatus during Season 27, Country superstar Reba McEntire is returning to her spot once again as a coach for The Voice Season 28. Reba has already spent many seasons on this series. In fact, this legend has served in several capacities on The Voice, working as a mentor, a Battle Advisor, and now, a coach. From her recent engagement to the hunt for our next singing sensation, Reba is currently living her very best life.
At her side once more will be Snoop Dogg, the hip-hop lover of herbs himself. Like Reba, Snoop also sat things out during Season 27. The judges on this show often rotate, so there is really nothing drama-related here to report. But that does not mean that Snoop is coming in drama-free, as proven by his recent anti-LBGTQ+ comments in the press.
Rounding out our coaches’ list for The Voice Season 28 are Michael Bublé and Niall Horan. Both men have served as coaches on this series before, with wins attached to their names. But which of these four coaches might score big in Season 28? Only time will tell.
That said, in a sneak peek from the set, captured by the Today show, host Carson Daly revealed that his money is riding on Snoop.
What is the premiere date and time for The Voice Season 28 Episode 1?

Or, might you be curious about the potential winner of Season 28, who will then land themselves a cool $100,000 prize pot alongside a recording contract with Universal Music Group? If you answered yes to either of these questions, then you should block off the following dates and times.
The Voice Season 28 premieres today, otherwise known as Monday, September 22, at 8/7c p.m. on NBC. Starting on this date, The Voice will air only on Monday nights. The episodes on October 20 and October 27 will begin at the same time, 8/7c p.m. But starting November 3, all remaining episodes of The Voice will air on Monday nights at 9/8c p.m. instead on NBC.
Can you stream The Voice Season 28 online?

With all of the above dates to remember, plus any outside responsibilities that might already be lurking on your calendars, viewers might easily miss an episode or two this season. So, what is a fan to do when this happens? Easy. They can stream The Voice Season 28 instead over on Peacock, with each new episode dropping the day after it airs on NBC.
Is your brain rotting with all of these dates and times? We hear you. It is Monday, after all. To recap, every episode that airs live on Monday can be streamed on Peacock starting the following Tuesday, whereas every Tuesday episode will stream the following Wednesday on Peacock.
These release times can vary. However, typically speaking, these day-after episodes will drop on Peacock sometime before the sun rises on the East Coast. If you do not have a Peacock account, you can register for one here. The basic plan starts at $7.99 per month, and thankfully, this plan is all you need to watch Season 28 of The Voice.
What is the Carson Callback Twist on The Voice Season 28?

Carson is returning for his 28th consecutive season on The Voice. This man is now celebrating 14 years as the master of ceremonies on this series. Wildly, Season 28 will bring changes to his role that will finally give him the power to alter the outcomes of this competition. And this is all thanks to a little plot twist called the Carson Callback.
Towards the end of the newly-released trailer for Season 28, we hear Carson saying, “Sometimes I see great singers fall through the cracks, and I’ve never been able to do anything about it until right now.” As he speaks, a red button labeled Carson Callback appears. When Carson taps it in the trailer, most of the coaches stand in shock. As Michael asks, “What is happening, Carson Daly?” at his side, an equally shocked Reba exclaims, “Oh my god.”
At this point, we do not know how many times Carson can use this button to save an artist of his choosing. But we are thankful to hear that Carson finally has some skin in this game.
The Voice is streaming on Peacock.
