David Anthony Burke, the person behind the stage name d4vd, is in the midst of a murder investigation. The body of 15-year-old Celeste Rivas was discovered in the trunk of an impounded Tesla. The car was allegedly registered to d4vd, which spurred the investigation into his possible involvement. The remains were discovered on September 8, and those working on the case believe she was murdered five days earlier. Reportedly, the cause of her death has been listed as ‘deferred.’ At the time of the discovery, d4vd was on tour promoting his album. Eventually, the tour would be halted as the investigation into d4vd expanded.
Celeste went missing in May 2024. According to Celeste’s mother, she had a boyfriend named David. Allegedly, both Celeste and d4vd had similar tattoos on their fingers. He had also been traced to her hometown, about 70 miles from Hollywood, sources claim.
As the investigation continues, a new revelation in the case has been made public.
D4vd and his manager broke their $20,000 lease days after police raided the Hollywood Hills property

D4vd’s home in the Hollywood Hills is no longer his residence, the Daily Mail reported. The home, which costs $20,000 each month in rent, was raided on September 17. He and his manager abruptly broke the lease after police began investigating the property. His manager, Josh Marshall, started the lease in February 2024.
Following the raid, the Los Angeles Police Department released a statement on what they found. “Several items of evidence were recovered and will be analyzed by detectives in the coming days,” the statement read. “This is an ongoing investigation. Investigators are following up on several leads.”
“They are moving out this week. The moving trucks will be here soon. They’ve decided to move out because of the ongoing circumstances,” a neighbor told the outlet. “They didn’t want to be there anymore,” he added, stating that Josh had been living in the home until recently.
