There’s never a dull moment for Ariana Madix. Now that she is the main host of Love Island USA, she is in charge of assisting the many islanders who enter the villa. This means facilitating eliminations, revealing challenges, and offering up much-needed relationship advice.
Right now, she is also the leading lady of Love Island Games Season 2. A cast of returning (and chaotic) contestants, the pressure is on them to not make the same mistakes again. Anyone would expect that Ariana would relish in the downtime between filming seasons to take a break from the drama. But, weirdly enough, it’s the complete opposite feeling for her.
Ariana Madix loves keeping busy on Love Island Games
Ariana recently gushed about her experience hosting in the Love Island franchise. Not only does she love it, but she begins to miss it every time the cameras wrap.
“When it is really busy, I think, like, ‘Wow, I really wish I had a vacation.’ But then when I’m on a vacation, even if I have a few days off to myself, I start not knowing what to do with myself and I start feeling bad,” she told The New York Times.
It’s clear that she has found a new TV home in Love Island USA. And while she would never say never to returning to the world of Bravo, the reality TV star enjoys this different filming process.
“It’s just been a lot more fun to be on the [receiving] end rather than to be on the other end of it being about your own life.”
And it doesn’t look like this fun job for her is going to end anytime soon. A Season 8 hasn’t been greenlit, but based on the previous season’s success, it’s practically in production. The only question would be whether or not Peacock keeps Ariana in tow.
