What is it with wildlife conservationists and dancing? First Bindi Irwin took home the mirrorball trophy on Season 21 of Dancing with the Stars. Now her little brother Robert Irwin is following in her dance steps.
Last week Crikey Fever came to a head when Robert removed his shirt during his and Witney Carson’s salsa routine. When did little Robert Irwin turn into a sex symbol?
Apparently, viewers weren’t the only ones impressed by Robert’s fit torso. It didn’t take long for Las Vegas’ famed Chippendales to hit him up for a guest appearance.
Robert Irwin has been offered a Chippendales guest spot after his shirtless performance on Dancing with the Stars
According to TMZ, the Chippendales sent an invitation to Robert’s manager for the zookeeper to perform with the group at Planet Hollywood. His manager also happens to be his mom, Terri Irwin, so … awkward!
The Chippendales’ pitch notes that Robert would be perfect in the role of celebrity guest host for the show. He’d be following in the footsteps of some of the sexiest DWTS alums like Tyson Beckford, Vinny Guadagnino and Joey Lawrence.
“His personality, kindness, skills (and body!) make for a perfect celebrity host!” the Chippendales organization wrote in their proposal.
Despite the fact that Witney subsequently regretted her partner’s shirtless moment, the studio audience went wild when she ripped his shirt off. Even though she might have created a new sex symbol, she worried that she might have distracted her partner from his focus on winning.
Let me just go on record that I turned to my husband immediately following Robert’s first dance in Week One and predicted, “There’s your Season 34 champion.”
I can only imagine the reaction his beloved dad Steve Irwin would have were he able to see his son dance: “Crikey!”
