It is no secret that Jennifer Lopez is an entertainment triple threat. She sings, dances, and acts. Plus, she demonstrates all of these talents in her new film, Kiss of the Spider Woman.
This has been a passion project for Jennifer. She was filming the movie when her marriage to Ben Affleck went down in flames. So, while she was experiencing the joy of making a movie musical, her love life was in ruins. It was truly the highest of highs and the lowest of lows for the entertainer. Yet, she persevered to complete the movie that she fell in love with.

Now, Bill Condon, the director and writer of the newest incarnation of Kiss of the Spider Woman, is praising Jennifer. “The thing is, she knows so much about everything,” Bill told PEOPLE. He added that she has “a wonderful eye” as a producer.
The director said that Jennifer knew about “musical performance, choreographers, dance, so she always had a wonderful eye for everything that was going on, and casting everything.” According to the director of Dreamgirls, the actress “was a great sounding board.”
Meanwhile, at the New York premiere for the film, Jennifer and Ben reunited on the red carpet. Ben serves as an executive producer on the project. Artists Equity, Ben and Matt Damon’s production company, co-produced the movie. During the premiere, Ben and Jennifer chatted and appeared on good terms as they posed for photos.
However, Jennifer is reportedly disappointed that the film is projected to have a lukewarm box office opening. “She poured her soul into this,” an insider claimed. “She thought it would be her A Star Is Born moment.” Plus, reviews were not as positive as she had hoped. Of course, Jennifer may still be crossing her fingers that Kiss of the Spider Woman could be her key to an Oscar nomination.
