Another Victoria’s Secret Fashion Show is in the books, though this year’s festivities lacked significant angel power.
Tyra Banks, a former angel for the iconic magazine was notably absent for the Victoria’s Secret 2025 show. For now, Tyra has other things on her mind that don’t involve reliving the thrill of walking down runways.
The annual event has been a staple of the iconic lingerie brand since 1995.

Her performance at the 2024 Victoria’s Secret Fashion Show had audiences begging for her to return and strut her stuff this time around. Unfortunately, the former host of America’s Next Top Model had other projects to attend to.
Speaking to Entertainment Tonight, Tyra shared, “I’m in Australia doing Hot Cream and stuff.” She’s Down Under promoting her Hot Ice Cream at her shop, SMiZE & Dream. That commitment meant she missed the fashion show in New York this time.
Last year, the former Sports Illustrated swimsuit model wowed audiences at the show, walking down the runway in a silver cape with black lining. That was an iconic moment that many people raved about for a long time afterwards. Tyra admits doing that in 2024 at her age meant a lot not just for her but for all women in their 50s who may feel insecure. “I just felt like there was more, and I look at the playback and I’m like, boom, boom, boom,” said Tyra. She noted that her physique had changed dramatically when she modelled at the show in 2024, compared to when she used to do it regularly. Back in July she revealed her bizarre habit of cleaning crumbs by eating them.
Years ago, Tyra made history as the first Black woman on the cover of the Sports Illustrated Swimsuit Issue. In 1997, she became the first African American selected for the cover of Victoria’s Secret catalogue.
