It looks like the sun has set on the marriage of Mercedes “MJ” Javid and Tommy Feight. The Shahs of Sunset alum has filed for divorce after more than seven years of marriage. She is also seeking sole custody of their six-year-old son, Shams.
It looks like it happened rather quickly, too. On her social media, MJ and Tommy looked pretty solid back in October and were still working on their podcasts together and serenading one another. But that’s all over now. Fans have seen these two go through everything on the show until it was canceled in 2022, and now, that story has come to an end.

According to TMZ, MJ filed for divorce on October 17 in Los Angeles after seven years of marriage. She lists the date of separation as the same day. It seems she couldn’t get to the courthouse fast enough.
She’s keeping it simple and citing irreconcilable differences as the reason for the split. She’s also asking to block the court’s ability to award spousal support to herself and to Tommy. A hearing for the divorce has been scheduled for December 18. This gives them time to potentially work it out. Honestly, the speed of the filing feels like there are conversations they still need to have.
MJ and Tommy married on April 21, 2018. The show recorded both their highs and their incredibly strange lows. This isn’t the first time fans have wondered if the two were going to split up. But marriage is full of ups and downs.
At present, Tommy hasn’t replied to the filing or shared any comment on the divorce. It’s only been a few days. Unless the pair hammered out the details between themselves ahead of time, he’s likely going to file his own suit in the near future.
