Next Gen NYC was one of Bravo’s best shows in 2025, but the network left fans hanging for an official Season 2 announcement. Before it premiered, many Bravo viewers were skeptical about the series, which followed a mix of Real Housewives nepo babies and their up-and-coming New Yorker friends. But the show quickly won viewers over thanks to the dynamite cast and their juicy storylines. Even Michelle Obama is a fan!
Despite the strong reception, Next Gen NYC didn’t have a Season 1 reunion. And months after the finale, Bravo has yet to officially announce as Season 2. Part of the reason Next Gen NYC was so well received was that the young cast really brought it. Riley Burruss and Ariana Biermann, for instance, became Bravo household names just like their mothers. And like all good reality stars, the cast members live dramatic and interesting lives even when the cameras aren’t rolling.
As of late, the Next Gen NYC cast keeps making headlines for all sorts of reasons, good, bad, and in between. These stories and updates would make great storylines for Next Gen NYC Season 2. Which is why fans are so antsy for an official announcement.
Next Gen NYC Season 2 would capture the aftermath of Ariana Biermann and Hudson McLeroy’s breakup
The cries for a Next Gen NYC Season 2 announcement grew even louder when Ariana announced her breakup from Hudson McLeroy. Ariana and the Zaxby’s heir were on and off for years. In Next Gen NYC Season 1, Hudson appeared to be the perfectly supportive boyfriend. He really won fans over with his protective feelings toward Ariana regarding her relationship with her mom Kim Zolciak. Despite their young age, Ariana and Hudson seemed like strong candidates for the next first couple of Bravo. So, Next Gen NYC viewers were shocked and upset by the split.
After Ariana broke the news, Hudson shared a statement of his own. He began, “I feel like everyone deserves to hear both sides of our story.” While that initially seemed like he might dispute Ariana’s statement, Hudson had nothing but kind words for his ex.

Just days before announcing her breakup with Hudson, Ariana’s social media went viral for other reasons. In early October, the Tardy for the Party alum shared a shocking childhood story on TikTok. While doing her makeup, Ariana casually revealed that she always puts on fake freckles because her mom had her freckles lasered off when she was 14. Ariana even said she confronted Kim recently, and her mom laughed about it. Kim got more backlash than ever. It was only eclipsed days later by another scandal when she was subpoenaed in a divorce suit.
Also, amidst her breakup, Ariana revealed on social media that she was moving into a new place. Her best friend Riley commented on the post, “Can’t wait for our new apartment.” This lead to speculation that the BFFs were moving in together. Later, Ariana clarified that this isn’t the case, but that they will be living minutes away from each other. Seeing the childhood pals reconnect was one of the most heartwarming storylines in Next Gen NYC Season 1. And fans can’t wait to see more in Season 2, even if they’re technically not roommates.

Speaking of Riley, in Season 1, we didn’t get much insight into her love life. But during Next Gen NYC press, Riley teased that she was seeing someone special. While she initially tried to keep the relationship as private as possible, Riley slowly started sharing more about her boyfriend as time went on. She did a soft launch by sharing some photos of him in a post about her birthday. Recently, Riley’s mom Kandi Burruss gushed over her daughter’s boyfriend, admitting she was “shocked” by how much she likes him. If Riley returns for Next Gen NYC Season 2, would viewers get to meet her mystery man on camera?
What is the rest of the Next Gen NYC cast up to?
Despite the lack of an announcement, fans speculated that production started again when the cast members gathered to celebrate Ariana and Emira D’Spain’s birthdays. Emira also recently stunned at the Victoria’s Secret fashion show red carpet, a few years after her groundbreaking campaign with the brand.
Recently, Georgia McCann also made waves by posting a blurry photo of her making out with a mystery man to her Instagram grid. In Season 1, Georgia’s relationship with Omar ended in dramatic fashion when he broke up with her while they were abroad for a trip. Then, Emira casually dropped in a confessional that Omar was allegedly a scammer.
And what about Charlie Zakkour, who moved in with Georgia in the finale? Season 1’s villain made headlines before the show even premiered. Between that scandal and his fallout with nearly every cast member, will Charlie come back for Season 2? Hopefully, we’ll see some official announcements about the returning cast before too long!
