Below Deck Med Season 10 Predictions After Nathan Gallagher’s Big Firing Decision

Nathan Gallagher wanted to do well as the newest bosun on Below Deck Mediterranean. However, as Season 10 progresses, one familiar adage keeps ringing true: he can only be as strong as his weakest link. And unfortunately, Nathan has two weak links on his team. Now, following a string of errors on deck, Captain Sandy Yawn is forcing his hand, letting Nathan know that at least one of these crew members must go.

Will Nathan fire Tessa Budd? Or instead, might he fire Christian Trimino? Or will Nathan shock everyone and fire both of his green deckhands? Only time will tell.

Either way, one of these non-urgently moving deflectors must abandon this yacht. But what happens after this needed firing takes place? Who might come aboard to fill in any gaps left on the deck team? Here are some predictions.

Captain Sandy could move V to a deck role after Nathan Gallagher fires someone

Victoria SanJuan is the greenest stew in the interior department. However, she is learning quickly, and her attitude is always positive. So, imagine Captain Sandy’s happiness upon glancing over her resume, realizing that V also has experience on deck. Likewise, Nathan also gets along with V, and he would likely appreciate her ability to learn quickly while actively seeking out tasks to complete on his team, just as she does in the interior.

Schedules and flights are hard to guesstimate. So, once one or two yachties walk the plank, there will be some downtime before a new full-time deckhand arrives to take over their spot. Therefore, whether Nathan fires one deckhand or two next week, we first predict that V will join his team in a newly-appointed deck-stew role. Since V is already on the yacht, her quick insertion into this team will help to cover several gaps while Nathan awaits his latest hire.

Not only would this move benefit Nathan, but it would also benefit V. As she explained during Episode 4, V used to love working on deck. But following the drowning death of her Bon, her late boyfriend, her exterior work came to a grinding halt. Regardless, she knows that Bon would be proud of her for overcoming her fears, and if our prediction here rings true, we know that V will not only do him proud, but she will also do the same for herself and the viewers at home.

Nathan Gallagher’s then-ex Gael Cameron could be brought back

In the trailer for BDM Season 10, we saw a teased visit from Gael Cameron. Gael and Nathan dated both during and after Season 9. But when Nathan came aboard for Season 10, he revealed that he and Gael were now just friends. Then, in the trailer, we saw Gael raging against Nathan for hurting her many times, but by the end of the trailer, these two had found themselves in a much different place.

At some point this season, Nathan and Gael will reconnect, literally. Now, they are parents to an adorable little boy. While the trailer made Gael’s appearance feel more like a brief visit than a hired position, we all know the power that these types of edits can have. So, for a loose prediction, Gael might return to take back her role as a deckhand on Below Deck Med.

When Gael last worked on the deck team, her skills and attitude were top-notch. In many ways, Nathan could benefit from her presence on deck. However, since Gael appeared in the trailer, our predictors are being thrown for a loop, because it isn’t like Bravo to tease any of their replacement hires before Episode 1 even drops. Due to this, our predictions are weighing the heaviest on V receiving a promotion, alongside the return of a different character from Season 9.

Joe Bradley, Nathan’s Below Deck Med best buddy, could also come back

During Below Deck Med Season 9, Nathan found love with Gael. But he also fell hard for Joe Bradley, which resulted in a solid bromance on deck. During Season 9, I interviewed these two gentlemen, and they both noted their desires to return to filming for Season 10. So, in my final prediction, I predict that Joe will return to help his buddy Nathan out on deck.

Joe and his abs know how to do this job. But Joe also knows how to get along with everyone, and both of these traits are what Nathan currently needs. Overall, Tessa and Christian are quick to find fault, but they are not skilled in finding any shortcomings within themselves, which has created several short-tongued, gossipy moments on deck. But Joe, knowing Nathan as he already does, would be able to come aboard and jump right into the fray, taking on any task Nathan assigns with an air of ease and support that this season has so far lacked.

But will Max Salavador feel left out? Hopefully not. Because the potential chaos that is Nathan, Frenchie, Joe, and a side of V excites me. So, here’s hoping these predictions ring true!
