RHOM Alum Lea Black Slams Alexia Nepola and ‘Sidekick’ Marysol Patton

The latest season of The Real Housewives of Miami left fans feeling more than a little frustrated with Alexia Nepola and Marysol Patton. Their unshakable friendship and pot-stirring antics alienated their castmates and some of their fans, but according to original cast member Lea Black, this type of behavior isn’t new. During a recent podcast appearance, Lea slammed Alexia, along with one particular Season 4 storyline that she feels is irredeemable.

Lea Black calls out RHOM’s Alexia Nepola for “bullsh*t”

Lea appeared on the Tuesday, October 20 episode of the Watch What Crappens podcast. During the chat, she didn’t mince her words when discussing Alexia’s RHOM shenanigans. She told the hosts that she’s not close with her for some very specific reasons.

“I always said she had two faces,” Lea admitted. “When I was selling my skincare cream, I’m like, ‘I can sell double because she’s got two faces.’”

Lea continued, “For me, the final straw with her, in addition to the lying, and the conniving, and the backstabbing, and the rest of that she does with her sidekick over there, is when she outed Herman [Echevarria].”

RHOM fans will remember that in Season 4, Alexia spoke about her late ex-husband being gay. She even tried to film a scene with one of his alleged former lovers. Lea felt like that storyline crossed a line and revealed Alexia’s true colors.

“There’s no coming back from there,” Lea said. “You don’t do that to somebody who supported you and your two kids because your husband was in jail, and then they’re six feet under and can’t defend themselves, and you use it as a storyline.”

One of the hosts pointed out how the Herman storyline seemed to be received positively by the audience, with Alexia being propped up as a “hero” throughout the season. Lea had a different take.

“That’s all bullsh*t,” Lea quipped.

According to Lea, she never saw Alexia attending pride events until after the storyline with Herman in Season 4. Then, she suddenly started propping herself up as an ally to the community. Lea doesn’t think that’s a coincidence, and it’s not the type of friendship she wants to keep.

Lea added, “When she outed Herman, they had to paint her as a friend to the gay community or it would have made her look like who she is — someone who outed a gay husband who she knew was gay all along.”

The Real Housewives of Miami is streaming on Peacock.
