Meghan Markle ‘Failing’ To Reshape Her Public Image — Expert

Emily Robinson, the director of communications for Meghan Markle and Prince Harry, has reportedly resigned just months after joining their team. While sources state she left voluntarily, her exit adds to a series of staff departures surrounding the Sussexes. Communication experts suggest the move “doesn’t necessarily signal dysfunction” in Markle’s efforts to rebuild her public image. One royal expert even noted it’s “a clear indication” that her plan to reshape her public image may be “failing.”

Meghan Markle dealing with ‘negative image’ and loss of influence amid staff exit, says expert

According to Fox News, the unexpected departure of Emily Robinson, who worked as director of communications for Meghan Markle and Prince Harry, has reignited scrutiny over the stability of the Sussexes’ operations. Robinson, who joined the couple’s team in May after serving as a senior director of publicity at Netflix, reportedly resigned just four months into the role.

As per Fox News, sources verified that she departed on her own. Royal expert Hilary Fordwich told the publication that the timing and nature of the exit “enforces the negative image of chaotic brand control” within the Sussexes’ ventures, describing the situation as damaging to Meghan’s public influence.

Fordwich added that such high-level departures are rare, noting that “communications directors simply don’t leave such a high-profile, global PR role after merely a few months.” She suggested the move could indicate either “personal incompatibility” or “strategic disagreement” over the couple’s branding direction.

Robinson’s exit follows several others within the Sussexes’ team. In June, four staff members reportedly left, including Los Angeles-based deputy press secretary Kyle Boulia and U.K. press officer Charlie Gipson. Experts say the series of exits comes at a time when Markle is working to position herself as an entrepreneur in Hollywood. However, the ongoing staff turnover has fueled questions about leadership consistency and the effectiveness of her efforts to reshape her public image amid mounting media scrutiny.
