Insiders report that Markle has made several attempts to connect with the singer, but to no avail. Swift seems far closer to Prince William than Harry, leaving Meghan in an awkward spot as she tries to win the singer’s attention.

The Daily Mail reported that Meghan Markle wants an invite from Taylor Swift and Travis Kelce for their wedding, but Prince Harry could not help in the matter. Markle recently shared a promotional video for her lifestyle brand “As Ever” using Swift’s song “Opalite.” The move, according to the report, was Markle’s most direct gesture towards Swift. Even so, the Duchess of Sussex’s efforts do not seem to be paying off.
Swift famously has a friendly relationship with Prince William, even sharing the stage with him at a charity event in 2013, long before Harry and Markle left royal life. Moreover, during her Eras tour in London, Swift and William posed together for photos with the Prince’s children, George and Charlotte, during a backstage meet-and-greet. As such, spectators claim that the singer has picked up her royal side.
Meanwhile, during his appearance on Hasan Minhaj’s podcast, the host asked Harry about Swift. The conversation caught the Duke off guard. He asked, “The what?…Oh no,” after Minhaj asked him about Swift’s supposed feud with Charli XCX, leaving listeners with the impression that he is not touching any topics related to Swift.
Per the Daily Mail, Markle had previously invited Swift to appear on her “Archetypes” podcast, but the pop star declined through her representative. Since then, Markle has reportedly tried again to bring Swift or other A-listers, but without any success.
As of now, Meghan Markle’s attempts to score a wedding invite from Taylor Swift and Travis Kelce do not seem to have made much progress. Besides, Prince Harry’s limited knowledge of pop culture might not have helped her cause.
