Miss Mexico, Fátima Bosch, is firing back at a Miss Universe executive following a tense moment captured on video.
It took place at a pre-pageant event in Thailand, where the Miss Universe pageant will occur on November 21. Nawat Itsaragrisil, the executive in question, addressed the contestants at the gathering.
He called out Fátima for allegedly refusing to partake in a photo shoot for social media. According to him, this was based on orders from Mexico’s pagent director.
Fátima denied the allegations, but things only escalated from there. Nawat insisted she was following orders from her country’s pageant director, calling her a “dummy.”
Now, Miss Mexico is taking the time to give her own rebuttal following the incident.
Miss Mexico and a Miss Universe pageant exec had a heated exchange

Being insulted on a livestream is not something Miss Mexico took kindly to. She addressed the issue in a video response shared on the pageantry_com Instagram page. “Your director is not respectful,” said Fatima. She adds that “I think that the world needs to see this because we are empowered women and this is a platform for our voice.”
Allegedly, Nawat asked Miss Mexico why she was still standing after dismissing her, with Fatima responding with: “Because I have a voice.”
Nawat apologized to anyone who might have felt uncomfortable seeing the awkward moment online. The Miss Universe competition pits pageant winners from countries around the world, including Miss USA, who recently announced a new judging panel last year featuring actress and model Garcelle Beauvais.
Fatima said that she is not afraid to speak out, adding that her voice is stronger than ever. She says that she is participating in the Miss Universe pageant to be a voice for all women and girls who fight for causes.
There are 130 contestants from around the globe participating in the Miss Universe pageant on November 21. The theme for the 74th edition of the pageant is called The Power of Love.
