Selling Sunset’s Nicole Young Calls Out ‘Infuriating Double Standards’ and Responds to Drug Claims

This storyline will be dragged out until the end of time. If you haven’t caught up, the entire ninth season of Selling Sunset has been released on Netflix. One of the biggest riffs was the continued (and intense) feud between Nicole Young and Chrishell Stause.

This drama started all the way back in Season 6, when Chrishell accused her of using drugs. Not only did Nicole strongly refute this claim, but she did a drug test which was negative. Nonetheless, the rumor has continued to grow and grow, and in Season 9, it finally exploded. When Chrishell once again claimed she was using drugs, Nicole countered by saying that she must have her confused by her parents. For context, both of Chrishell’s parents have died from lung cancer. Needless to say, this was quite the jaw-dropping moment… but Nicole doesn’t get why.

Nicole Young talks about her drama on Selling Sunset Season 9

Nicole recently weighed in on how her storyline ended in Season 9. After the explosive dinner, there was a following scene where Brett Oppenheim and Jason Oppenheim sat her down and ‘kicked her out’ of the office. While she revealed that she wasn’t actually fired, the real estate agent is still pissed that her bosses took Chrishell’s side.

“I mean listen there’s definitely some clear and blatant favoritism going on. And that stems from allowing one person in the group to have significantly more power. And that results in some pretty infuriating double standards,” she told TMZ.

The reality TV star continued by calling out the Oppenheim brothers for never holding anyone else in the cast accountable.

“This is the first time anyone has received any kind of repercussion from saying anything, even outside of any work environment. Shots have been fired every season since the show began, but all of a sudden now it crosses the line? It just doesn’t make sense and I think that is what is really upsetting for me and for a lot of viewers.”

Well, if Nicole thinks Chrishell will continue to be held on a pedestal, that might not be a worry any longer. After filming the Season 9 reunion, Chrishell said that she was done with the series.
