Prince Harry is reportedly preparing to make a bold move that could put serious strain on his marriage. According to insiders, the 41-year-old is pushing forward with plans to bring Prince Archie and Princess Lilibet to the UK for more frequent visits, even if Meghan Markle strongly opposes the idea.
Prince Harry won’t let his kids grow up without ever knowing their British family, claims source
Sources tell RadarOnline.com that Harry wants his children to maintain a real connection with their British heritage and their royal relatives, especially as King Charles’ health remains uncertain. “He’s focused on making sure his kids don’t lose their connection to the UK,” one insider said. “He won’t let anyone stand in the way of that, not even his wife, no matter what consequences that has for their marriage.”
Despite not being invited to the royal family’s traditional Christmas gathering at Sandringham, sources say Harry is planning a quiet return to the UK over the holidays. “Harry is on a mission. He won’t accept that his children grow up never knowing their British family or where he came from,” a second source said. “He’s prepared to go against Meghan’s wishes on this – he thinks these visits have to happen, and soon.”
Insiders describe Harry as “hell-bent” on reversing the “years of negativity” that have dominated his rare visits since he and Meghan stepped down as senior royals in 2020. In May, Harry told the BBC he could not envision bringing Meghan or the children to the UK due to his long-running dispute with the Home Office. “I miss the U.K.,” he admitted, but concluded he couldn’t see a scenario “in which I would be bringing my wife and children back.”
Sources also claim Harry hopes to reconnect with old friends during the Christmas period, longing for comforts he hasn’t enjoyed since relocating to California. “Harry misses sports and going down the pub with his mates,” one insider said. “He sees it as part of himself and his culture, and he wants a good drink-up this Christmas.”
