Bethenny Frankel is uncovering her royal secret.
The reality star was reluctant to talk in great detail about Meghan Markle, but did share how she found out who she was. Trevor Engelson and Bethenny previously dated after his divorce from Meghan. He and Meghan were married for about two years before separating and eventually divorcing.
At first she said that she had no idea who Meghan was until many photos surfaced of the future Duchess of Sussex and Prince Harry. After asking Trevor if that was his ex-wife, he confirmed it.
Initially, Bethenny says Trevor just told her that his ex was an actress from the TV show Suits.

Harry and Meghan’s engagement came as no surprise to her ex-husband. Speaking on The Toast podcast, Bethenny says Trevor anticipated that would happen. “Do you think she’s going to close?” Bethenny recalled asking him about Meghan and Harry. “Oh, she’ll close,” is how he responded, according to Bethenny.
It turns out he was right as the Prince popped the question in 2017, and the couple are still married today with two kids. Meanwhile, Bethenny and Trevor’s relationship transformed into one strictly for business.
Trevor married dietitian Tracey Kurland in 2019. Her father was Stanford Kurland, a wealthy founder of an investment trust who died in 2021. Trevor and Tracey have three kids, with their first son born in February.
Earlier this year, Bethenny had a spat with Joy Behar, calling the talk-show host a “miserable” person. While she’s known more for her appearances on various reality shows, Bethenny, like Meghan, has done some other acting work as well. She portrayed the role of Jill in an episode of The Neighbors last year. She serves as a panelist on the podcast Hot Mess.
