Chris Daughtry Rips Into AI Deep Fakes About His Marriage

Chris Daughtry is tired of AI images claiming that his marriage with his wife Deanna Daughtry is in trouble. The 45-year-old rock star felt he needed to address photos he has seen of him fighting with his wife and him having a black eye. The musician posted a video on social media ripping into the fake AI images, telling his fans to “stop being bamboozled” by them and to stop asking him whether they’re real or not. The musician formed his popular eponymous band “Daughtry” after placing fourth place in the fifth season of American Idol.

Daughtry posted video rant against his manager’s wishes

In an Instagram reel posted on Thursday, November 13, Chris Daughtry ranted against AI images that have been circulating about him and his wife despite him “not wanting to make this video.”

“S*** is getting just unbelievably nuts out there with the fake accounts, the fake news, the fake headlines,” he said. “It’s insane. The amount of times I see, ‘Hey is this real?'”

The musician tells his followers not to be fooled by images that are “clearly AI” and only to trust posts from the band’s official page and social media accounts. He says the flood of fake images have been “too much” and that it “affects me on a deep level.”

“I mean, some of this stuff is so… ridiculous that I’m baffled that people would ask if this is real,” he continued.

Daughtry revealed in an interview with Rolling Stone on Monday, November 17, that he posted the rant despite being advised not to address the subject, going “against my manager’s wishes.” He was told not to “feed the machine” or put a spotlight on them. out of caution that it would only add fuel to the fire.

“I was like, ‘F*** that.’ I want everyone to know this is absolute bulls***,” he replied, “and I will shout it from the mountaintops.”

The use of AI in entertainment has been a controversial topic. While actors Matthew McConaughey and Michael Caine have signed onto projects using their voices for AI, Morgan Freeman has come out against them.
