While the late-night chat show “Watch What Happens Live with Andy Cohen” is highly popular and has hosted numerous celebrities, there is one star who consistently skips appearing on the show. The star is none other than the pop icon Taylor Swift. While fans have always been curious why the singer consistently turned down the offer to appear on the show, sources told Rob Shuter that the reason is her “principle.”
Taylor Swift’s principles not allowing her to be on Andy Cohen’s show, claims source
Taylor Swift is rarely seen on live, unscripted talk shows, and she has always declined Andy Cohen’s late-night show. Sources tell Rob Shuter‘s #ShuterScoop that the host has often invited her to appear on his show. However, she has consistently turned down the offer due to her “principle.”
A major player in the music industry said, “Taylor only steps into rooms that reflect her values. Andy’s Clubhouse is built on mess. She’s built on meaning.”
The show often features unannounced questions about celebrities’ dating lives. It also includes drama and women yelling at each other, scenarios the “Opalite” hitmaker doesn’t want to be part of.
The 35-year-old has always stood up for women’s rights, which is another reason she has consistently said no to the show. An insider revealed, “Taylor can’t stomach shows that pit women against each other. She’s not participating in that dynamic — not even for Andy.”
That doesn’t mean she does not like the host, Cohen. However, for her, prioritizing her peace is more important than appearing on the show. As per a source close to her team, “She’s not anti-Andy. She’s pro-Taylor. She protects her peace, her narrative, and her fans.”
Drama is not certainly Swift’s style, and she prefers interviews where the hosts actually listen rather than compete for drama, gossip, or clickbait headlines.
