Meghan Markle recently shared how her little kids are gearing up for the holiday season. The latest newsletter of her lifestyle brand, As Ever, shared glimpses of her kids, Archie and Lilibet, enjoying the garden. While the newsletter painted a sweet family picture for many, the Duchess’s decision to involve her children in a marketing blitz is not sitting well with the royal aides. Especially, after the former actress insisted on the “privacy” of their children.
Meghan Markle includes kids in As Ever letter, which royal aides have criticized
Meghan Markle and her family are all gearing up for Thanksgiving at their California home. She, along with Prince Harry and their two kids, Archie and Lilibet, recently featured in the promotional email for her As Ever brand.
While many might have been impressed with the newsletter, the same can’t be said for the royal aides. They are criticizing the former actress for involving the kids in the marketing. “The children are now part of the branding architecture,” a source told #ShuterScoop. “After years of insisting on privacy, she’s inserting them into sales copy.”
As per PEOPLE, the 44-year-old revealed in the newsletter how her whole family helps to harvest herbs in their Montecito home backyard. “When it comes to our founder’s favorites, the delicate, herbaceous flavor of sage ranks high on the list,” read the latest newsletter from her lifestyle company.
The newsletter then talked about their children and pet dogs, Pula and Mia, who chipped in to help. “Those strolls, with Archie and Lili running in tow, her husband checking on the bees, Pula chasing the ball with Mia trying to keep up — those were the sun-drenched moments that made an everyday walk something a bit more magical.” It is her love for this herb that has inspired her latest product, Sage Honey.
However, a royal aide called out Meghan Markle’s actions. “She has always insisted the kids must be kept out of public life. Now they’re characters in a marketing narrative,” said the aide.
