If you needed another reason to love Matt Ginella, here you go. You’ve already watched him effortlessly defend his wife, Katie Ginella, on The Real Housewives of Orange County. Now, he’s dragging everyone’s least favorite Bravo blogger for trying to associate him with Donald Trump. It’s a masterclass in shutting down a troll.

While Gretchen Rossi was on the RHOC Season 19 reunion making excuses for her alleged anti-LGBTQ social media activity, a Bravo blogger was on Twitter/X, pulling up old pictures of Katie’s husband. A couple of those snaps showed Matt alongside Trump, and this was supposed to be some sort of “gotcha” moment.
“Not Matt Ginella golfing with Trump after Katie & Tamra [Judge] & the woke Bravo fans made a big deal about Gretchen ?,” the blogger wrote.
Although RHOC is known for its conservative-leaning cast, Matt wasn’t going to let that accusation fly. He followed up with a reply that not only corrected the record but also gave him a chance to flaunt his resume.
“This is lazy,” Matt wrote. “I was working for Golf Channel at the time. It was my job to cover his golf business and developments. This is 2013/2014 when he reopened a PGA Tour venue.”
He continued, “I’ll give you time to understand what all of that means … I’ve had several public altercations with him. He hates me. Might I suggest you invest in a calendar, do your homework, and turn your attention to the real issues and hypocrisies.?”’
That’s a clapback worthy of a round of applause, but unfortunately, the blogger didn’t follow that advice. Instead, he started doubling down in the replies about the “hypocrisy” of the Bravo fanbase. He also tried to criticize Matt for taking the time to respond, but the RHOC husband hit back with a final blow.
“I’ll always have time to defend my wife, myself, and my family,” Matt added. “And if that makes me a ‘super involved house husband,’ then so be it. It’s how this platform and this Bravoverse tends to work. But you know that. And you knew exactly what you were doing. Bad execution of a dumb idea.”
