An ongoing mystery spanning over 40 years may finally be solved. The circumstances surrounding Natalie Wood’s death have been the subject of widespread speculation for a long time, but even the top investigators haven’t found a concrete answer to the tragedy. Now with his life reportedly nearing an end, Natalie’s widower Robert Wagner is apparently ready to shed some light on what transpired in the early hours of November 29, 1981.
“He (Robert) will almost certainly make a deathbed confession,” an insider revealed. The last sighting of Natalie was on November 28, 1981. From a distance people say she and Robert were arguing while she was screaming for her life aboard the yacht Splendour off California’s Catalina Island.
Also on the yacht at the time of Natalie’s drowning were Christopher Walken and the captain, Dennis Davern. Her body was discovered early the next morning.
Robert Wagner is reportedly planning a “deathbed confession” which could concern his late wife Natalie Wood

The guilt of Natalie’s death is apparently not something Robert wants to take to his grave. “Natalie’s death is likely all anyone will ever remember Wagner for if he doesn’t clear the air,” an insider told RadarOnline.
Initially, investigators deemed the Academy Award nominee’s death an accidental drowning. Decades later, it was ruled to be death from drowning and other undetermined factors. Robert, it appears may know those supposed factors. That may lead to her cause of death having a new conclusion.
Being the last person to see her alive, Robert was a person of interest for a long time. Dennis, the yacht’s captain, alleges that Bond girl Jill St. John was often over at Robert’s mansion, where Dennis also lived. A rumored affair between those two has long been the subject of speculation. The 95-year-old’s attorney have denied these allegations.
A year before her mysterious death, Natalie won a Golden Globe for her performance in the miniseries From Here to Eternity. The production co-stared Kim Basinger, whose net worth was revealed in May to be an estimated $20 million this year.
The West Side Story actresses’ last film, Brainstorm, came out in 1983 and co-starred Christopher Walken and Louise Fletcher.
