The divorce between Denise Richards and Aaron Phypers has been chaotic, to say the least. Accusations of theft, court hearings, and multiple domestic violence charges have flooded the headlines. But one detail that might have slipped under the radar was Aaron’s allegation that Denise had an extramarital affair with Rudy Reyes from Special Forces: Worlds’ Toughest Test.
For months, Rudy has remained silent on the accusation. Maybe he missed the headlines, or perhaps Fox’s PR team told him to keep quiet ahead of the new season of his show. Either way, he’s finally broken his silence.
Aaron Phypers accused Denise Richards of having an affair with Rudy Reyes
Denise appeared on Season 3 of Special Forces, where she demanded a special toilet and wound up having to withdraw due to a ruptured breast implant. In between that chaos, Aaron claimed that she sparked a romantic connection with Rudy.
“Privately, I’ve wrestled with the painful truth: that Denise has been involved in an ongoing affair with her Special Forces instructor, Rudy Reyes — something I confronted her about earlier this year,” Aaron wrote to Denise’s family and friends.
Now, six months later, Rudy is sharing his side of things — sort of. In an interview with Decider, he tiptoed around the question about having an affair with the Real Housewives of Beverly Hills alum.
“First of all, of course, I respect what we do on our program, and there’s trust and commitment,” Rudy told the outlet. “Every recruit on our course is in our hands, and I will never do anything that would ever jeopardize that.”
“That’s all I’ll say,” he continued. “I look in the mirror and I have respect and pride in myself and what I represent.”
So, Rudy didn’t necessarily fess up to having an affair with Denise. However, that shouldn’t come as much of a surprise. He’s on Special Forces, after all. They literally teach people how to withstand torturous interrogation! He wasn’t going to spill the beans that easily.
