The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills is starting to sound like the Real Fraudsters of the Greater Southern California Area. This season is clearly centered around Erika Jayne and the horrific embezzlement allegations Tom Girardi is facing. Finally, we’re not being forced to watch a group of middle-aged women attack (and out) Denise Richards for allegedly hooking up with Brandi Glanville. Or argue about a puppy. Or panties. We’re getting real-life rich people problems. And all I gotta say is, it’s about freakin time.
Erika is far from the first RHOBH lady to face legal probz. Dorit Kemsley and PK Kemsley have had their fair share of issues, whether it’s lawsuits or forgetting to pay casinos and such. They’re even selling their Encino house after living there for just a year which is shrouded in sketchiness. And hey, Erika wasn’t the first lady to get her assets frozen — Door-It has been there, done that. Yet all Dorit has been giving us this season (and frankly, most seasons) is over-the-top outfits that never seem to be appropriate for the event she’s attending. Oh, and denials of plastic surgery.
The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills is having one of its most explosive seasons yet, mostly due to the tornado of scandals swirling around Erika Jayne. Erika’s divorce from Tom Girardi amidst his embezzlement claims is unfolding before our eyes. And Erika is either telling the truth or doing her best soap opera acting to make fans believe she wasn’t involved. Even though the evidence is sketchy and she’s still flying private. She seems to only worry about “woe is Erika” and not the millions allegedly stolen from the REAL victims in the story.
I’ve said it before and I’ll say it again, even if Erika is telling the truth, she hasn’t released ONE statement about the victims. Not a single acknowledgment or apology. And the questions just keep piling up about the whole situation, from Tom’s health status to just how long this whole thing’s been going on. Thankfully, a judge ordered that victims can go after Erika for their payments. Considering the price tag on one of her massive rings could literally TRANSFORM the lives of these people and their families.
Someone give Erika Jayne an Oscar for the tremendous acting she’s doing this season of the Real Housewives of Beverly Hills. Alright, there might be a chance she’s being genuine, but I’m not totally buying it. The timing of her divorce from Tom Girardi is more than questionable. As are records that Tom allegedly embezzled money from his clients to put right in her bank account. But EJ claims it was just a loveless divorce and time for her to move on — opportune when Tom is being accused of swindling millions.
And while Erika made sure to NOT wear waterproof mascara when the cameras were rolling, she must have forgotten she fully has the ability to make a statement to the victims for her husband’s bad business. But no, she’s too busy “battling her haters” on Instagram, shading Bravo editors and STILL flying private. But guys don’t forget Tom wouldn’t….hug her…back. *Cue single tear* Bravo, Miss Jayne.
Tom has been in deep shit for nearly a year now. He’s being accused of stealing millions to fund his and EJ’s “XXPen$ive” lifestyle. And while Erika peaced out and grabbed anything she and Mikey Minden could fit in their arms when shit hit the fan, Tom’s brother has been the only one helping the 81-year-old navigate it all. First came the divorce, then the lawsuits. And then Tom was diagnosed with Alzheimer’s disease, leading his brother to take the lead on dealing with the mountain of issues facing the Girardi’s. Even though Tom was prettttty clear during a divorce hearing when he asked a judge to not grant Erika any alimony.
Is every other Real Housewives of Beverly Hills fan feel like they’re in a fever dream this season? Like, Erika Jayne is going through a phony divorce to protect her assets but acting as though the timing was just coincidental. And, her fellow co-stars are supporting her, even though Tom Girardi is accused of embezzling millions from widows and orphans and putting it right in Erika’s bank account. What happened to owning it, Lisa Rinna? Where’s the energy you brought to the Denise Richards/Brandi Glanville allegations, Kyle Richards? Smh.
Erika is pulling out her Broadway moves and playing the role of the clueless housewife who is just another victim. But thankfully, the legal system isn’t buying it. Erika is being investigated and victims of Tom’s years of shady business practices can go after Erika for the money they’re rightfully owed. It’s obvious Erika has nothing meaningful in her life aside from material things, considering that’s all she seems to care about. Not even ONE public apology to Tom’s hundreds of alleged victims. And she’s still flying around in her private jets. Ice queen is right.
It’s hard to watch the Real Housewives of Beverly Hills continue to give Erika Jayne such an easy ride when it comes to the atrocious allegations facing her soon-to-be ex-husband Tom Girardi. Tom’s accused of swindling millions from victims of nightmare-level accidents to fund EJ’s wannabe pop career. And when years of embezzlement accusations came ahead, Erika ran for the hills, filing a shady divorce against Tom and doing anything to protect her assets. And her crew is giving her a pass — one they definitely didn’t grant to Denise Richards when the Brandi Glanville hookup allegations arose last season.
I’m just waiting for Sutton Stracke to really make Erika “own it” this season on RHOBH, because it’s obvious her sidekick Lisa Rinna isn’t going to do it. Like, Erika’s behavior is speaking for itself. She’s still flying private and acting like the main character in a soap opera while actively being investigated by the feds. Erika’s 100 times more worried about the Bravo editors than she is about the actual victims her husband allegedly stole millions from to fund her ridiculous lifestyle. Thankfully, a judge has ruled that victims can go after Erika to get the money they’re due. As she’s said, the ice queen can take it. So prove it, boo.
Toot toot. Hot mess express coming through! Do you love her or hate her? There is literally no in between for our dearest Brandi Glanville. While it’s safe to say most viewers find Brandi to be a bit much, there’s no denying how integral she is to the world of Bravo.
We have Brandi to thank for the iconic transition from Real Housewives of Beverly Hills to Vanderpump Rules all those years back. That was an era when your husband cheating with your friend’s waitstaff was peak drama. Since that time, Brandi has jumped all the sharks. And thanks to the internet (mainly Twitter) we all get front row seats to the show!
How does the saying go? The devil works hard, but Danielle Staub works harder. Especially when it comes to inserting herself into any and every Bravo narrative since departing from the Real Housewives of New Jersey a second time. Her most recent stunt was an appearance in a Hulu documentary about Erika Jayne and Tom Girardi’s shady divorce and embezzlement allegations. And it led everyone, including Andy Cohen, to wonder what made Danielle the expert on this topic in the first place. To her, the fact that they both danced in the same go-go bar back in the day and appeared on Real Housewives is enough credibility. And it’s saying something that not even thirsty old Brandi Glanville turned down an appearance in the doc.
The documentary itself was very revealing about the ins and outs of the Real Housewives of Beverly Hills star’s lavish lifestyle that is allegedly built off of the trauma of others. Tom is being accused of stealing millions from victims of horrific incidents to fund EJ’s glam squads and private jets. And even though she’s being accused of spending money her soon-to-be ex-husband made illegally, Erika is proving she’s a stone-cold villain by prioritizing, well, herself. Even though she’s still flying in PJs and wearing designer outfits everywhere she goes. And for once, the RHOBH mean girls squad is giving EJ a pass. Where’s the outrage? Don’t worry, Danielle is making up for that by talking even more about Erika’s allegations.
Some Real Housewives of Beverly Hills viewers have strong opinions on how this particular cast conducts themselves in a hostile environment. Having disagreements is just part of the job, but it seems like events of an inorganic nature have invaded this franchise more often than not. Exhibit A: the ridiculous Puppygate saga or Exhibit B: the Brandi Glanville and Denise Richards alleged affair.
Playing a key role in both of these occasions was Lisa Rinna. Rinna identifies as more of a follower than a leader in that she’ll follow whatever Kyle Richards does, because worker bees have to stay close to their Queen. RHOBH lost two big players and rumor has it, one of them would consider coming back. On a recent episode of Watch What Happens Live, Garcelle Beauvais intimated Denise might entertain a return if “someone” left. Now Denise sets the record straight and “someone” thinks it’s real knee-slapper.
