Selling Sunset star Chrishell Stause made a big announcement that she was leaving the show after nine seasons. This meant the only other remaining OG left was her costar, Mary Bonnet. And while the news of Chrishell exiting was probably quite shocking to fans, it wasn’t so surprising to Mary. Mary spilled the tea on her thoughts on the matter and who she would like to replace her. Hint: it includes another OG from Season 1.
Mary Bonnet isn’t entirely surprised by Chrishell Stause’s Selling Sunset exit
While Mary and Chrishell have kept it mostly civil on the show together, things fell apart between them after Season 9. Chrishell had taken Chelsea Lazkani’s side in her feud with Mary, which set Mary off.
So, Mary probably wasn’t too upset when Chrishell dropped the bomb that she was dunzo. Mary told US Weekly how she felt about it. She dished, “We could tell she wasn’t very happy at the reunion. I think she’s been ready to leave for a while.”
Mary continued, “She says every year she doesn’t know if she’s coming back, but I think this year she really is going to leave. It comes to everyone’s time where you just know if you should or shouldn’t.”
So, with Chrishell out, who would Mary like to have take her place on the show? Mary said, “Heather [Rae El Moussa] is my top choice, for sure … I think that would bring it back to Season 1, like, the original OG family and that kind of fun, family environment, because there’s a lot of other people to choose from. We don’t have to bring in just random people. All of our friends have big personalities.”
And speaking of big personalities, Mary also brought up her frenemy, Selling Sunset alum Christine Quinn. Mary said, “I will always care about Christine. Maybe with Chrishell gone, it would be a better environment. I know if Heather comes back to that, that’s going to be a redo of the whole thing, and we’re moving forward toward happier times.”
