Taylor Swift is deeply inspired by Elizabeth Taylor. The pop singer released her 12th studio album, “The Life of a Showgirl,” on October 3 this year. Swift is known for making songs that draw inspiration from her life. Her second track from her latest album is titled “Elizabeth Taylor.” It is a sweet nod to the Hollywood icon, whom she calls her “role model.”
As reported by The Sun, the “Fate of Ophelia” hitmaker will reportedly be filming a secret music video, with whispers claiming it’s for her song “Elizabeth Taylor” from “The Life of a Showgirl.” A source said, “Taylor is super excited to be back in London filming for her new music video.”
According to them, since Taylor is a British icon, Swift allegedly wants to pay tribute to the iconic actor by “shooting scenes in the capital.” “Taylor has always written about her love for London, and the video will capture different locations around the city,” added the source.
Swift discussed the track in detail during the official launch party of the album. She said, “It has got to do with fame, attention, love, notoriety, anxiety that this isn’t going to be forever — and how heartbroken would you be then?”
She added that with the song, she wanted to craft a story that referenced “cool things” about the actor’s life, while creating something that resonated with her own life as well. “I used details from her life, but the feelings of what it kind of conveys are things I’ve absolutely experienced time and time again,” noted Swift.
