Ariana Grande & Boyfriend Delaying Breakup News for a Reason — Source

Ariana Grande’s breakup rumors with boyfriend Ethan Slater have reportedly become the hot topic of discussion. Both actors starred in the newly released movie, “Wicked: For Good,” and were spotted during premieres and promotional events. Despite being in the same cast, they allegedly didn’t pose for the cameras like a couple, which raised eyebrows. Recently, a source claimed that the two are reportedly delaying the news of their split because of the film.

Ariana Grande and Ethan Slater’s romance has reportedly come to an end. A source told Rob Shuter that the two have been putting off their alleged breakup news until after the release other film, “Wicked: For Good.” While the singer plays Glinda, her boyfriend appears as Boq Woodsman.

According to press insiders, the duo is reportedly “under pressure” not to divert the public’s attention to their relationship. “The studio doesn’t want anything — and I mean anything — stealing the spotlight,” they added.

While their breakup rumors started a few weeks ago, they escalated after Slater’s latest interview on the “Today” show. He was asked about his experience of “working with [his] girlfriend every day.” Instead of answering directly, he shifted the focus and called the entire cast “incredible.” Furthermore, the actor praised Grande and their co-star, Cynthia Erivo, simultaneously.

His response seemed to have led to speculations about their split. Moreover, according to the outlet, their “ultra-professional” and individual appearances on their respective social media handles have also raised concern.

However, on Friday, Grande reposted a photo of Slater from his Instagram to her Story. It was him standing outside a trailer. In the repost, the singer added a Tin Man graphic that opened his chest to reveal a tiny heart.

Meanwhile, “Wicked: For Good” hit the movie theaters worldwide on November 21, 2025.
