A source claimed that Lopez believes she is “destined” to be with Affleck. According to the insider, “She’s believed that all along and now she’s even more convinced that it’s a case of when, not if, it’s going to happen.”
The pair, once famous to fans as “Bennifer,” have lived two full love stories already. They first got engaged in 2002 but called it quits just days before their wedding. And, nearly 20 years later, they found their way back to each other, marrying in Las Vegas in 2022. However, after two years of marriage, Lopez filed for divorce in August 2024, and it was finalized in early 2025.
Even so, the two have reportedly stayed on good terms. In late 2025, they reunited publicly for the “Kiss of the Spider Woman” premiere in New York. Lopez stars in the film, and Affleck produced it. The former couple shared a friendly red-carpet moment that sparked speculation of a possible reunion, because Lopez seemed relaxed and happy standing beside her ex-husband.
