Jennifer Aniston is back in a very old Hollywood story after fresh talk of a screen version. One insider called it “the feud everybody wants to see finally dramatized.” The claim now links Jennifer Aniston, Angelina Jolie, and Brad Pitt to a possible new series.
As per a new source, Hollywood is weighing either a movie or a streaming project. The outlet tied that interest to Aniston’s marriage to Pitt, their 2005 split, and the long-running Jolie feud narrative that followed.
Jennifer Aniston and Angelina Jolie’s feud ‘ingredients of a major box office hit,’ per source
Star Magazine has reported that the idea now being discussed is a dramatized retelling, not a documentary. A source told the outlet, “Jen and Angie’s epic decades-long feud is not only fair game, it’s got the ingredients of a major box office hit, or at the very least an extremely buzzy streaming miniseries.” Then the insider added, “Enough time has passed that the full story can finally be told.” In turn, the report said “the race is on” to assemble a project.
For context, Jennifer Aniston married Brad Pitt in 2000, and their divorce was finalized in 2005. That same year, Angelina Jolie and Pitt drew widespread media attention for their relationship after the movie “Mr. & Mrs. Smith,” which the two stars headlined together.
The report about a potential project also stressed a risky side to the idea. The source explained, “You have to go into something like this with a reality check.” Then the insider warned of the consequences of producing the project without Jolie and Aniston‘s consent. The source said, “You become an enemy of both of them, and their powerful friends, for life.”
The same source also mentioned “the legal firestorm” such a project could trigger. Still, they argued there is “a ton of potential upside” in telling the story. Finally, the insider compared the idea to fact-based prestige dramas and said, “It markets itself, and everybody already has an opinion about the subject matter.”
