Lily Allen finds an innovative way to promote West End Girl
On her online merchandise store, Lily Allen launched a new product to promote West End Girl, her fifth studio album, which was released earlier during October this year. Her latest product seems to call for an NSFW warning, as it is a butt‑plug‑shaped USB drive containing MP3 tracks from her album West End Girl. Only a limited quantity of these USB drives will be available for purchase, with the product currently listed for pre-order. Priced at $24.99, this USB drive version of her album will be released on January 30, 2026.
The USB drive has a blue and white polka dot design, inspired by the Miu Miu jacket Allen wears on the album cover. The website describes the product as a “Polka dot USB drive containing West End Girl MP3s,” with a special note below, reading, “This product is a novelty USB device intended for data storage only.”
Allen also took to Instagram to promote the sale of the product with a post captioned, “limited merch drop, live now,” with a peach and electric plug emoji at the end.
Meanwhile, the product seems to be related to the lyrics of her song titled “Pussy Palace,” which mentions “Duane Reade bag with the handles tied / Sex toys, butt plugs, lube inside.”
While speaking with PEOPLE about the song, producer Blue May described that the process of making Pussy Palace, “started with the story of the idea of the West Village apartment and what was found there.”
Further, he added, “As Lily was still telling the story, and I would say, soon as I started playing that, everyone, the whole room just was like, ‘Oh, my God.’ And then Leroy Clampitt, the co-producer, had put the drum beat in real quick, and the music was probably made in 20 minutes.”
