Chrissy Teigen reveals her toddler getting stitches was ‘trauma for kid and parent both’
Chrissy Teigen recently confessed to the most terrifying moment of being a parent after watching her daughter getting stitches. Teigen’s 2-year-old daughter, Esti, recently got injured while at home. As a result, the toddler had to get stitches on her chin, which broke her heart. The 40-year-old shared a snap of her daughter getting stitches on her Instagram story, in which she even thanked Dr. Ourian for looking after her daughter at such a time.
In the story, the cookbook author shared a photo of her daughter, lying on top of her, holding a lollipop in one hand as the doctor stitched her chin, along with two other assistants. The mom of four looked devastated as she held Esti’s head to control her movement.
As per PEOPLE, thanking the doctor, the model wrote on her Instagram Stories, ”Hesitant to share this because he will get too busy to give my kids their daily stitches, but @drourian, thank you so much for always saving us.” Although she kept the details of the accident private, the emotional stress was evident in the caption, “The traumas for a kid and parent both! We love you so much.”
The television personality has always been open about her motherhood journey. She spoke about being a mom to four kids with the outlet in 2023, saying, “For me, the hardest part is making sure the older ones feel loved and taken care of and just as special as the babies, even though you might have your hands on the babies a lot more.”
She then admitted, “There’s a lot of diaper changing and feeding and it seems like you’re coddling these two little babies and they’re not getting enough… I think any parent of multiple kids can understand that you want to make sure they still feel loved.”
