There’s a family feud brewing in the Palace, and it’s not the one you think. Aside from the estrangement of Prince Harry, there’s a battle raging between Queen Camilla and Kate Middleton. And actually, it has everything to do with Harry.
Insiders report that Camilla is furious over Kate’s efforts to reunite the Duke of Sussex with his father, King Charles. Plus, she’s apparently not happy with Charles’ recent reunion with his son, either.
Queen Camilla and Kate Middleton allegedly had a “poisonous showdown” over Prince Harry
When Harry finally reunited with his father back in September, there was reportedly not a dry eye in the house. It was the first time Charles had seen his younger son in over 18 months, following the release of Harry’s devastating memoir Spare. Though the reunion lasted less than an hour, Kate is allegedly working on a more permanent reconciliation.
However, a source told Radar Online, “Camilla wants nothing to do with Harry. She’s revolted by the soft stance Charles is taking at the moment and fully supports [Prince] William’s zero-tolerance, no-forgiveness policy.”
But the Princess of Wales remains unconcerned with Camilla’s wishes. “Kate considers herself to be the queen now, even though Charles hasn’t stepped down yet,” the insider continued. “That really gets Camilla steaming. She’s not about to be pushed to the side and give back the crown jewels.”
Sources report that Camilla’s taking out her animosity for Harry on her daughter-in-law. “Camilla and Kate had a poisonous showdown at the palace,” the insider said. “Camilla told Kate flat-out that she’s being naïve and reckless — not to mention disloyal toward her husband by refusing to respect his wishes.”
“Kate’s been … biting her tongue [so far] over Camilla’s bad attitude,” the source added. “But this Harry situation is making things a hundred times more tense.”
In the meantime, the princess is reportedly still in contact with Harry, and Camilla is livid about Kate “going over her head.” At the same time, Kate wants her mother-in-law to back off.
Meanwhile, William’s feelings when it comes to Camilla are no secret. He still blames her for Charles and Diana’s divorce. It’s believed he plans to cut Camilla out of the family after his father passes and William becomes king.
